As you'll see I paint primarily in oils, occasionally in acrylic and also produce hand-cut collages and that I am influenced by Surrealism. The core of my inspiration comes from the sense of magic I experience when I see the intertwined worlds and infinate layers found in nature,the subjects that appear are usually within eyesight of my current location of Northumberland. You'll find many of my favourite subjects like birds, snails or trees but my compositions also reflect what I see in my imagination. It's a mixture of imagination and observation.

PORTRAIT CLUB in HEXHAM at the BUREAU of DREAMS 

 A weekly drawing group aimed at all abilities in Portrait drawing. 

  FRIDAY MORNINGS 10.30-1pm 

Interested in trying your hand at portrait drawing? Or perhaps you’re already an avid drawer but can’t always get people to sit for you?….then PORTRAIT CLUB HEXHAM is for you!

Portrait Club is an easy going, sociable, untutored gathering; a chance to practice drawing a range of faces ( i.e us!) as we take turns to sit for a ten minute pose. It takes place within the inspiring setting of the Bureau of Dreams Gallery in the heart of Hexham’s Creative Quarter,St Mary’s Chare, NE46 1NQ

Everyone is welcome to the club; complete beginners to professional artists…it’s simply a chance to try something completely new or experiment with new styles and mediums or hone your skills among like minded people. s more free coffee, tea and bix!
